Studio-boutique František Jungvirt Studio. One of the main goals of the young glass artist was to open his own showroom. The creation of a representative place for meeting clients and partners. From the beginning, the designer had a clear idea of how his boutique should look and in what environment it should be located. With regard to his work, which is mainly represented by hand-blown vases in small series editions, unique collectibles and custom-made products, he was looking for a place that would perfectly complement the original glass. That place became the PARVI Cibulka residential complex in Naskové Street in Prague 5. The complex with residential and non-residential units was created by transforming the former Meopta industrial building. The history of the factory dates back to 1919. At that time, the company Srb a Štys, a manufacturer of optical instruments and tools for fine mechanics, was located here. Architect Jakub Cigler is behind the current form, who combined the industrial character of the building with timeless Finnish style. It has also preserved a number of historical elements, for example the original size and division of windows or railings. The building is located near the Cibulka basketry park and the Vidoule natural monument.
The realization itself took almost half a year, during which the glass artist tried his hand at the role of architect and interior designer. The overall appearance of the boutique is therefore Jungvirt's work - from the color of the walls to the floor to the furniture and other accessories. The equipment is a showcase of domestic and foreign design, but the main word is the glass work of František Jungvirt, distributed throughout the space. Significant vases from the Garden collection, the latest Bloom, massive Wavy, black and white Fleur or cute Trdlíky represent only a fraction of the exhibited works. Works from the field of product design complement art objects, especially from the Fashion Glass series created in collaboration with fashion designer Barbora Kotěšovcová. Unmissable is the unique Snake made of uranium glass, which was created as part of Jungvirt's diploma thesis.
