The project focuses on improving the educational infrastructure of FEI VŠB-TUO through
construction of the CPIT TL3 building and acquisition of equipment to ensure quality teaching in particular
in the new Bc./Mgr. computer programs for 21st century industry study programs,
Automotive Electronic Systems and Information and Communication Technologies in
healthcare. The construction of laboratories and the acquisition of new equipment are related to educational
plans planned within the complementary project Technology for the Future.

It is a complex testbed with a section
Smart Factory (robotic digitized production process with elements of Industry 4.0 - IoT, digital twin, big data processing, robotics, predictive maintenance, virtual and augmented reality, image recognition and identification of 3D objects, machine learning, operation of autonomously guided vehicles and more),
Home Care (observation flats for monitoring the behavioral manifestations of people, used for the development and teaching of new technologies of biomedical engineering),
Automotive (laboratories focusing on e-mobility, modern autonomous driving systems for cars and industrial vehicles, functional safety of automotive systems, development quality, sophisticated simulations and testing of automotive electronic systems).

Is efficient energy management (measurement and regular analysis of consumption data) considered?
Are renewable sources of energy used, e.g. solar system, photovoltaics?

Interconnection with surroundings

Does the project enable the easy use of public transport?
Does the project support the use of alternative modes of transport, e.g cycling, walking etc. ?
Is there access to recreational natural areas, e.g. parks, in the immediate vicinity of the building?
