The main idea was to deliver a relaxing space in the noisy city. We wished to give the people excitement from the changes of the nature during the year. And we addressed the environmental issues related to climate change. The public was involved in planning of the park. Because several playgrounds are located near the park, we placed just one small game feature for children. It consists of several little hills covered with painted soft-rubber surface. The original shape and colour encourage the children to develop their own games. We renovated and moved the sculpture “Lovers” by M. Jirava in the center of the park. New position of the sculpture under a canopy of a big Ailanthus showed, how the shape of the “Lovers” corresponds to branches of the tree.
We have applied the latest technology from the field of rainwater management. We navigate all rainwater from paved areas to specially designed flower beds. The flowers bloom from spring till autumn and please the people over the year.
