The extensive reconstruction of the Jirásek Theatre in Česká Lípa, completed in 2023, marked not only a comprehensive transformation of the building's interior and exterior but also a revitalization of the city's historic center. The new main entrance from Panská Street with its inviting café attracts visitors and connects the theatre to the surrounding buzz. The building, steeped in history dating back to the 14th century, now serves as a fully accessible cultural venue with modern facilities and representative spaces. Thanks to the sensitive reconstruction, the project has successfully intertwined history with modernity and the genius loci with the latest technologies. The theatre has thus become an important center of cultural life in Česká Lípa and a pride of the entire region.
The reconstruction also included new technical and technological facilities for the theatre. The building has modern air conditioning with recuperation, heating and cooling system and last but not least modern theatre and AV technology.
