First of all, it is about restoring the dignity of gravestones that were cut and used to pave our cities. We've been following them unknowingly for decades. We have created a contemplative place where everyone can remember a person without a tombstone.
The center of the Memorial is a convex lens made of cubes, on which there are remnants of writing, symbols and signs. This central circle expresses unity, perfection, symbolizes God the creator.
Nine stone walls are arranged radially around the circle, symbolizing the surrounding world, the walls can evoke the ruins of the destroyed Temple and thus remind of Jewish history. One of the walls, like the symbol of the Jewish Star on top of a convex lens, points in the direction of Jerusalem.
Nine itself is a magical number. It is a symbol of the Wheel of Life, it contains cyclicality. This number means completion and fulfillment of life, it connects the spiritual world with the physical, material world.

The monument consists of "paving blocks" of cut tombstones approx. 80x80x100-180 mm, which appeared during the reconstruction of public spaces. In the memorial, the "cubes" are reverently assembled. The center of the monument is formed by a convex lens made of stones, where the text has been preserved, or symbols can be seen. The stones here form a vault (height 400 mm, diameter of the circle 2000 mm), lie dry and are covered with fine gravel and are clamped by a stainless steel hoop, which is hidden under the ground. Nine walls are arranged radially around the central circle. Each one is finished a little differently. Here, the stones are also dry assembled, but fixed with a chemical anchor to the internal iron structure, which is covered with dry concrete. The circular ground plan of the monument between the individual parts is filled with fine dark gravel.
