The light installation in the main stairway of the Valdek office building. Main goal was to add special illumination system to the existing light system which will respect the charecter of the building, built in funcionalist style. The staircase is a simple semi-circle shape and the light system should not touch the existing ceiling construction nor the construction of stairs. The hand, sticking out from the last stair landing, placed in the centre of the staircase, is in a white color just as the rest of the staircase. The light installation represents a hand of a puppet master but with its gesture also a hand protective and blessing.
3D sacn of a real hand, followed by creating a model using robotic miilling cutter and final fiberglass cast. The inner structural steel pipe structure serves also for leading electric cables fo the lights. We used Foscarini Gregg lights
